What each exam actually punishes

The remedy follows from this, and it is different in each case.

NEET. Volume of recall, weighted to biology. The common failure is decay — material learned in March and never returned to, which the revision queue exists to prevent.
JEE. Speed under load. Candidates often know the physics and cannot finish, which drilling under time fixes and re-reading the concept does not.
UPSC. Breadth. Nobody completes the syllabus in one pass, so the question is which gaps you can afford, which requires knowing where they are.
CUET. Domain subjects alongside a general test, where the general section is usually the one neglected until too late.
Banking and SSC. High-frequency, high-speed arithmetic and reasoning, where accuracy at pace matters more than depth.
