Virtual classroom support schedules live sessions against the existing timetable, records attendance for them the same way a physical period is recorded, and files any recording against the syllabus unit. The video itself runs on Zoom, Meet or Teams — whichever the school already pays for.
We do not operate a video platform. Building a worse one than Meet or Zoom would help nobody.
The pandemic-era lesson most schools drew was that the video call was never the hard part. The hard part was that online attendance lived in one place, timetable in another, and recordings in a personal drive nobody could find by March.
A period taught online is a period. It counts toward the same attendance percentage, against the same working days, in the same register — rather than in a separate online-attendance report that has to be reconciled by hand at term end.
Where the platform reports join and leave times, those are recorded against the period, because "joined for four minutes" and "present" are not the same thing and a school will eventually be asked which it was.
Video conferencing is a commodity your school almost certainly already licenses through Workspace or Microsoft 365. Scheduling, attendance and filing are the parts that are actually specific to a school, so those are the parts we build.
Phrased the way they arrive, answered so each one stands on its own.
Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Sessions are scheduled and joined from the timetable.
Yes, in the same register and against the same working days, with join and leave times recorded where the platform reports them.
Filed against the syllabus unit and the section, so the next teacher of that section can find them.
