A Maharashtra state board school runs SSC at Class 10 and HSC at Class 12 under MSBSHSE, files through one of nine divisional boards rather than a single state office, and usually operates more than one medium of instruction in the same building.
Board nomenclature and portal processes change, and several boards have reorganised recently. Confirm the current circular for your own board before relying on any filing detail here.
Maharashtra is the board most often mishandled by school software, for a structural reason: it is not one board office. A school in Kolhapur and a school in Nagpur file to different divisional boards, with their own correspondence, their own index numbers and their own timelines.
Pune, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nashik, Amravati, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Latur and Konkan each administer their own schools. The division determines where returns go, which index number the school carries and which calendar its correspondence follows — so it belongs on the school record, and for a group with campuses in two divisions it belongs on each campus rather than on the trust.
Maharashtra schools commonly run Marathi medium and English medium sections side by side, and the semi-English arrangement — mathematics and science taught in English within an otherwise Marathi-medium section — is widespread. Medium is therefore a property of the section, and in the semi-English case a property of the subject within it.
Software that treats medium as one setting for the whole school forces such a school into two records, and from that point the roll, the fee position and the returns are maintained twice.
Phrased the way they arrive, answered so each one stands on its own.
Yes. The card format and its language follow the section, so Marathi-medium and English-medium sections in one school produce cards in their own language from the same term’s marks.
The student, staff and school fields SARAL returns are built from are held on the record and exportable. Submission on the portal remains the school’s own action.
Yes. Division is set per campus, so each files under its own divisional board while the trust still gets one comparable roll-up on attendance and collection.
