The self-service portal that empties the registrar’s queue

The CampusHub student portal lets students register for courses within the rules, see attendance against the requirement, view results when the exam cell releases them, download bonafide certificates and transcripts, pay fees, and raise requests — removing most of the queue outside the registrar’s office.

Results appear only after the examination cell releases them. The portal never publishes a mark ahead of the controlled release.

The queue outside a registrar’s office is mostly four questions: what can I register for, am I short of attendance, what did I score, and can I have a bonafide certificate. All four are answerable without a human.

01

Attendance shown against the requirement, not as a number

Telling a student they are at 71% is less useful than telling them they need to attend eleven of the next fourteen classes to reach 75% by the eligibility cut-off. The second changes behaviour; the first is a number they discount.

Showing the gap early is also the single most effective intervention available on eligibility, because it reaches the student while the arithmetic is still survivable.

02

Why results are gated

Departments sometimes share internal marks informally before the exam cell publishes. It seems harmless and it is the origin of most result disputes, because the informal number and the moderated final number differ and the student saw the first one.

The portal shows nothing until release. That is occasionally unpopular with faculty and it is the correct default.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Phrased the way they arrive, answered so each one stands on its own.

Can students download their own transcripts?

Provisional transcripts and bonafide certificates, yes, on demand. Final degree transcripts usually remain a controlled issue through the registrar, which is configurable.

Can students see internal marks before results are declared?

Only if you configure it that way. The default is no, because a mark seen before moderation is the most common source of result disputes.

Does the portal work on a phone?

Yes, and that is where most of the usage is. Registration in particular has to work on a phone, since that is what students have at the moment electives open.
